Any changes to the policies will be clearly communicated to affected users, and will only apply to future – not past – transactions (i.e. track plays, web surfing habits).
What information do we collect?
Using the Muiso Music companion we collect very detailed information about the songs that are played in any compatible media player. This data includes:
- File information and location
- Time and date of track play
- Name and version number of the music player
Through our website at Muiso.com
- User surfing patterns and habits within the website
We do NOT:
- Automatically collect any personal information or email contact information from media players or any other source on the computer
- Collect any information that is not required for delivering the full services of the Muiso Music service.
What do we do with this information?
- The information gathered is used to deliver services to our users.
- Aggregate information about general trends in music (i.e. the popularity of a particular band or the number of users who listen to a particular track last Tuesday in Copenhagen, or the proportion of users using MP3 vs OGG) will be shared with third parties and publicly.
- User identifiable information (i.e. ANY details relating to a particular or computer) is NEVER shared with third parties, or other departments or divisions of our own company. This information is held in the strictest confidence, with very limited access.
Currently only two members of the Muiso team have access non public user information. Steve and Simon are both very careful how and when that information is accessed. The information is stored in a secure data center, and is under constant watch by round the clock guards. We can’t even get in. We are working to document out security procedures, and will update this page when we can share with you the secure information structure.
